Life insurance – Microinsurance
Ms. Nusra (Assakul) Banyatpiyapoj, President of the Thai Life Insurance Association, Mr. Picha Siriyothin, Executive Director, and Mr. Jarung Cheuchinda, Deputy Executive Director of the Thai Life Insurance Association, jointly launched the project to promote insurance during festivals and important occasions for the long-term sustainability of the Songkran Festival 2569, under the concept of "Happy and Healthy Songkran, Safe Travels, Let Insurance Take Care of You."
Ready to launch "Songkran Joyful Insurance Policy (Microinsurance)" Organized by the Office of the Insurance Commission (OIC), the insurance industry, and related agencies, this event aims to raise awareness of safety and demonstrate the proactive role of the insurance sector in providing peace of mind, confidence, and emphasizing the importance of risk management for the public.
The terms and conditions for the 10 Baht Songkran Joyful Insurance Policy (Microinsurance) provide coverage for both life and medical expenses due to accidents, with a maximum coverage of 100,000 Baht. The 20 Baht Songkran Joyful Insurance Policy (Microinsurance) provides coverage for both life and medical expenses due to accidents, with a maximum coverage of 250,000 Baht. The coverage period is 30 days from the start date of the insurance period (from March 31, 2569 to June 30, 2569). Eligibility requires Thai nationality and an age between 15 and 70 years old on the date of insurance application.
There are four life insurance companies participating in the program, consisting of:
- Bangkok Life Assurance Public Company Limited
- Thai Ocean Life Assurance Public Company Limited
- Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited
- AIA Company Limited
Interested individuals can contact participating life insurance companies for more details or choose to receive the benefit through leading business partners such as banks, retailers, telecommunications providers, and gas stations, etc.
