China refutes rumors of supplying weapons to Iran and opposes the US blocking of ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

China has denied rumors of supplying weapons to Iran, affirming strict controls on arms exports in accordance with international law. The country emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz is a crucial global energy route and urged all parties to exercise restraint following the US threat to intercept ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

13 April 2569 Guo Jiakun, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. China said it opposes baseless accusations or malicious links following reports that China planned to supply weapons to Iran.

Guo stated that China takes a prudent, cautious, and responsible approach to exporting military products, and strictly controls such exports in accordance with domestic laws, regulations, and international obligations.

Furthermore, Guo stated that protecting the shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz to ensure their security, stability, and unrestricted passage is in the common interest of the international community.

The Strait of Hormuz is a vital route for international trade in goods and energy. The root cause of the disruption in the strait is the conflict with Iran, and the solution is a ceasefire as soon as possible.

Guo made the above comments while urging all parties to exercise restraint and patience after the United States announced that its Navy would begin blocking ships attempting to enter or leave the Strait of Hormuz.
