April 17, 2569 – POINTX, the points aggregation and redemption application under the SCBX Group, reinforces its role as a points assistant for every lifestyle, continuing to elevate the everyday points usage experience to the next level. Most recently, SCB has expanded its "Bill Payment" feature to allow users to easily use accumulated points to pay various bills through the SCB EASY app.
This service covers a wide range of essential expenses, including utilities, credit cards, loans, insurance, taxes, donations, and government services. It caters to modern consumers seeking convenience, flexibility, and the ability to use points to reduce daily expenses through easy bill payment via point redemption, anytime, anywhere.

It was stated that consumers currently view the role of reward points differently, no longer limited to redeeming benefits, but expanding to their practical use in daily life. This aligns with data from the POINTX app, which found that users use their points to reduce expenses in a high proportion, as much as 42% of all usage.
Based on these insights, POINTX developed the Bill Payment feature on SCB EASY, allowing users to easily pay various bills using their points. Paying bills through the SCB EASY app is familiar to most users. This feature allows consumers to use points to increase value, reduce expenses, and does so instantly and easily without changing their existing habits. Importantly, it offers flexibility, as users can choose to pay the full amount with points or combine it with funds in their account as needed.
The Bill Payment feature on the SCB EASY app allows users to use their points to pay a wide variety of everyday expenses, including utilities and energy bills, credit cards, loans, insurance, education expenses, telephone and internet services, as well as government loans, taxes, investments, and donations via e-Donation, which are tax-deductible. Payments are supported via QR code scanning, barcode scanning, or searching for bill providers within the system, making bill payments and point redemption more convenient.
Users can use POINTX points to pay bills via the Bill Payment feature on the SCB EASY app in 5 easy steps:
- Open the SCB EASY app and select the "Scan QR Code / Barcode" menu or select the "Pay Bills" menu to search for a biller.
- Scan the QR code/barcode or search for the desired biller.
- Select “Pay with POINTX” to use all your points, or choose to use a portion of your points along with funds in your SCB EASY account.
- Review the details and confirm the order.
- You can check your transaction history via Notifications and Point History on the POINTX app.
