Thai exports in March 69 broke an all-time record, marking the 21st consecutive month of growth.

Thai exports in March reached a record high of 69, marking the 21st consecutive month of growth. The government continues to strive to maintain Thai trade momentum and open new markets amidst global risks.
April 24, 2569 – Ms. Lalida Periswiwatana, Deputy Government Spokesperson It was revealed that Thailand's exports in March 2569 amounted to US$35,157.1 million, or 1,087,460 million baht, the highest on record and marking the 21st consecutive month of growth at 18.7 percent. Excluding oil-related products, gold, and strategic assets, the growth was 19.3 percent.
Key factors contributing to this growth include electronics and home appliances, driven by the demand for AI and data center technologies, as well as promising agricultural and food products such as fresh durian, fresh mangosteen, pet food, processed chicken, sugar, and spices and herbs, which continue to expand well in various markets.
Overall, for the first three months of 2026, exports totaled US$96,169.9 million, a 17.6% increase, while imports totaled US$105,646.4 million, a 32.4% increase. This resulted in a trade deficit of US$9,476.6 million.
Ms. Lalida stated that industrial products remain the main driving force, expanding by 21.4 percent in March, marking the 24th consecutive month of growth. In particular, computers, equipment, and components expanded by 34.2 percent; mobile phones, equipment, and components expanded by 166.6 percent; gems and jewelry (excluding gold) expanded by 86.4 percent; as well as machinery, steel, and transformers, which continued to show growth.
Key export markets continued to grow well, with the United States expanding by 41.9%, the European Union by 21.9%, Japan by 9.1%, and the ASEAN five countries by 25.0%. Meanwhile, South Asia saw the strongest growth at 123.3%, and Australia at 56.2%.
However, the government is closely monitoring risks, particularly unrest in the Strait of Hormuz, which is beginning to affect transportation and cause a contraction in Middle Eastern markets, as well as risks related to energy costs and new US trade measures.
“This record-breaking export figure reflects the potential of Thai products in the global market. The government will continue to maintain this momentum by opening new markets, supporting high-potential products, and closely monitoring risks from the global economy to ensure the stable growth of Thai trade.” Ms. Lalida said.
