The Cabinet meeting approved the appointment of several individuals to various positions, including Santithar Sathienthai as Assistant Minister.
5 May 2569 – Ms. Lalida Periswiwatana, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office. It has been revealed that the Cabinet meeting today resolved to appoint the following individuals to the following positions:
Subject: Appointment of qualified persons as advisors to the Prime Minister to serve as Thailand's trade representative.
The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Prime Minister's Office to appoint Ms. Nongnuch Petcharat, Mr. Chutintorn Kongsak, and Mr. Veerapong Prapha as advisors to the Prime Minister to serve as Thailand's trade representatives, effective from April 27, 2026 onwards. This is in accordance with the Prime Minister's Office Regulations on Thai Trade Representatives (No. 2) B.E. 2552 (2009).
Subject: Appointment of Civil Servants to Academic Positions of High Qualification (Ministry of Finance)
The Cabinet approved the proposal submitted by the Minister of Finance to appoint two civil servants under the Ministry of Finance to academic positions of high qualification, effective from the date they meet all the qualifications, as follows:
- Mr. Kulsak Limpiyakorn, Deputy Director-General of the Comptroller General's Department, has held the position of Advisor on Financial and Fiscal System Development (Senior Fiscal Expert) at the Comptroller General's Department since October 27, 2568.
- Ms. Wachiraya Poomphoosri, Deputy Director of the State Enterprise Policy Office, has been appointed as an Advisor on State Enterprise Performance Evaluation (Highly Qualified State Enterprise Analyst) at the State Enterprise Policy Office since November 20, 2568. This appointment has been approved by the Deputy Prime Minister (Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas).

Subject: Appointment of an Acting Minister of Labour
The Cabinet has approved in principle the proposal from the Ministry of Labour to assign two ministers to act as Acting Minister of Labour, in the following order:
- Mr. Yotsanun Wongsawat, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.
- Mr. Nikorn Somklang, Minister of Social Development and Human Security.
From 5 May 2569 onwards.
Subject: Appointment of Civil Servants to Senior Executive Positions (Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation)
The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation to appoint Mr. Rungruang Kitphati, a civil servant holding the position of Director-General of the Department of Science Service (Senior Executive Position), to serve as Acting Secretary-General of the Office of Atomic Energy for Peace, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, and subsequently as Secretary-General of the Office of Atomic Energy for Peace (Senior Executive Position), Office of Atomic Energy for Peace, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.

Subject: Appointment of Civil Servants to Senior Management Positions (National Water Resources Office)
The Cabinet approved the proposal from the National Water Resources Office to appoint Mr. Vaidit Ochavit, a civil servant holding the position of Water Strategy Advisor (Highly Qualified Policy and Planning Analyst) at the National Water Resources Office, to the position of Deputy Secretary-General of the National Water Resources Office, Prime Minister's Office, to fill the vacant position. The Deputy Prime Minister (Mr. Songsak Thongsri) has also given his approval. This appointment is effective from the date of the Royal Decree.
Subject: Appointment of Civil Servants to Senior Executive Positions (Ministry of Social Development and Human Security)
The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security to appoint two civil servants to senior administrative positions as follows:
- Ms. Wasana Thongchan, formerly Deputy Director-General of the Department of Elderly Affairs, has been promoted to the position of Inspector-General of the Ministry, position number 7, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.
- Ms. Jittima Kreearee, formerly Deputy Director-General of the Department of Social Development and Welfare, has been promoted to the position of Inspector-General of the Ministry, position number 4, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.

Subject: Appointment of Political Officials (Ministry of Interior)
The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Ministry of Interior to appoint two political officials to the position of Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Interior, as follows:
- Mr. Panu Pornwattana has been appointed as an advisor to the Deputy Minister of Interior (Mr. Polpeerap Suwannachawi).
- Mr. Sutham Charitngam has been appointed as an advisor to the Deputy Minister of Interior (Mr. Worasit Liengprasit).

Subject: Appointment of an Acting Minister of Tourism and Sports (Ministry of Tourism and Sports)
The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports to appoint the Minister to act as the Minister of Tourism and Sports, in the following order:
- Ms. Supamas Isarabhakdi, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office.
- Mr. Paradorn Prisnanantakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office.

Subject: Appointment of Political Officials (Office of the Prime Minister's Secretariat)
The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Prime Minister's Secretariat to appoint three individuals to political positions as follows:
- Mr. Tewan Liptapallop, Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister (Mr. Yotsanun Wongsawat).
- Mr. Pradermchai Boonchuaylue, Advisor to the Minister of the Prime Minister's Office (Ms. Suphamas Isarabhakdi).
- Ms. Patcharin Samsiripong, Secretary to the Minister of the Prime Minister (Ms. Suphamas Isarabhakdi).

The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Ministry of Finance to appoint three new members to the Board of Directors of the Tobacco Authority of Thailand to fill vacant positions, in accordance with Section 13 of the Tobacco Authority of Thailand Act B.E. 2561 (3), as follows:
