The focus is on connecting business networks between the private sector and government policies (G2G and B2B) amidst the adjustments in global supply chains. Currently, the council has 153 members spanning all industry sectors.

Key economic figures indicate that in 2568, the total trade value between Thailand and Vietnam reached US$2.36 billion, comprising US$1.28 billion in Thai exports to Vietnam and US$1.08 billion in imports from Vietnam. The long-term goal is to increase the total trade value to US$2.5 billion by 2569.
“Vietnam is considered one of the region's high-potential markets, thanks to its rapid economic growth over the past 10 years, coupled with infrastructure development and its increasing role in global supply chains. These are key factors that present opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs to expand their businesses and achieve long-term growth.”
In terms of investment statistics, Thailand continues to maintain its position as a leading foreign investor, with a cumulative total of 789 investment projects in Vietnam, representing a registered value of over US$1.52 billion. Moving forward, cooperation will focus on upgrading to a “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership” to reduce trade barriers and open new opportunities for businesses of all sizes.
side His Excellency Mr. Pham Viet Hung The Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Thailand provided insightful information about Vietnam's economic structure, stating that Vietnam currently ranks among the top 35 largest economies in the world, with a projected GDP growth rate of 8.02% in 2025.
“Per capita income has increased more than 60 times compared to the beginning of the Doi Moi policy in 2529. Vietnam has set clear goals for transitioning to a modern industrialized upper-middle-income country by 2573 and aiming to become a high-income developed country by 2588.”
The future cooperation strategy will focus on leveraging the structural strengths of both countries, utilizing Vietnam's advantages as a key manufacturing base, combined with Thailand's expertise in logistics, retail, and agro-industry. The aim is to invest in future industries (New Economy), such as the green economy, renewable energy, and digital transformation.
The Thai-Vietnam Business Council's operational plan for 2569 will focus on creating informational support tools through the council's website's Vietnamese economic data platform, organizing in-depth study tours to analyze investment opportunities, and conducting business consulting activities to enhance the competitiveness of members and Thai entrepreneurs, in a significant move coinciding with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
