Thai Life Insurance reported a net profit of 3,267 million baht in the first quarter.

Thai Life Insurance announced its Q1 2569 financial results, reporting a net profit of 3,267 million baht, a 21.8% increase compared to the same period last year. This growth was driven by new policy implementations totaling 2,678 million baht.
Mr. Chai Chaiyawan, Director and Chief Executive Officer, Thai Life Insurance Public Company Limited TLI (Thailand Life Insurance Public Company Limited) revealed its Q1 2569 financial results, reporting a net profit of 3,267 million baht, a growth of 21.8%, representing a net profit margin of 23.5%, reflecting stable profitability.
Profit from new business contracts (New Business CSM) amounted to 2,678 million baht, and the remaining balance of profit from contracts (CSM) as of March 31, 2569, was 92,198 million baht, an increase of 0.6% compared to the value as of December 31, 2568, primarily driven by new business generated during the period.
The company's net profit, excluding extraordinary items and the impact of market volatility, was 3,249 million baht, an 18.1% increase from the same period last year. This was primarily driven by insurance underwriting profits of 2,625 million baht, an 8.1% increase from the same period last year, resulting from a decrease in medical expense claims.
Investment income, excluding extraordinary items and the impact of market volatility, stood at 624 million baht, representing a 92.6% increase compared to the same period last year. This growth was driven by investments in domestic equities that generated higher dividend yields. The company's investment portfolio is appropriately diversified, with over 85% of its total investment assets held in investment-grade debt instruments as of March 31, 2569.
The Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR Ratio) stands at 463.3%, which is higher than the 140% requirement set by the Office of the Insurance Commission (OIC). This confirms the company's strong capital position, which is the foundation for sustainable growth.
