Ms. Suphajee It was stated that the People's Republic of China will host the APEC MRT meeting, a ministerial-level meeting within the APEC framework, to drive concrete results on three key issues:

• “Openness” refers to promoting open, transparent, and predictable trading and economic systems, both at the regional and multilateral levels.
• “Innovation” – Creating mechanisms for trade and investment cooperation driven by innovation and modern technology.
• "Cooperation" refers to strengthening cooperation among member economies to sustainably address common economic challenges.

This year's APEC Trade Ministers' Meeting will be a key opportunity for Thailand to present its vision and exchange perspectives to promote open, sustainable, and adaptable economic and trade cooperation in the new global economy. It will also showcase Thailand's commitment to driving the digital transformation under the National AI Strategy and supporting the reliable cross-border flow of data.

Ms. Supajee revealed that during the APEC MRT meeting, discussions will focus on promoting environmentally friendly economies and trade, developing a practical and applicable AI governance framework, and strengthening the capacity of developing countries and MSMEs to support future economic transitions. In addition, there will be a luncheon between APEC trade ministers and Chinese business leaders, providing a significant opportunity to exchange views with Chinese businesspeople on the digital economy and green energy.

Ms. Supajee further revealed that she will use the opportunity during the APEC MRT meeting to hold bilateral discussions with key economies such as the People's Republic of China and Singapore to promote economic, trade, and investment cooperation. She reaffirmed Thailand's role in supporting an open trading system and economic cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region. Thailand aims to promote trade facilitation, digital transformation, sustainable trade, and strengthening supply chain resilience to enhance economic efficiency and investor confidence within the APEC framework.

This APEC, or the Asia-Pacific Economic and Trade Cooperation Framework. It comprises 21 member economies: Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, the United States, and Vietnam.

By 2568, Thailand's trade with APEC economies is projected to reach US$494,646.24 million, representing 72.24% of Thailand's total trade. Thailand will export US$237,581.96 million to APEC and import US$257,064.29 million from APEC.
