Sarath Thitipong, CEO of GULF, held discussions with Vietnamese President To Lam during his official visit to Thailand, reflecting the role of Thai private sector in driving clean energy initiatives between the two countries.

29 May 2569 Mr. Sarath Rattanavadee, Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF). I had the honor of joining the Thai government and a delegation of leading Thai business figures to welcome and meet with... Mr. To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. During an official visit to Thailand as a guest of the government, from May 27-28, 2569.

This marks Mr. To Lam's first visit to Thailand since assuming the presidency of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and Thailand is also the first ASEAN country that a Vietnamese leader has officially visited as president.

Within the strong and steadily growing Thai-Vietnamese relationship, encompassing both the public and private sectors over the past 50 years, GULF plays a vital role in ensuring energy security and supporting the energy transition in Vietnam. This is achieved through continuous investment in renewable energy power plants, totaling three projects with a combined capacity of 247 megawatts. These projects comprise two solar power plants and one wind power plant. GULF is committed to collaborating with the Vietnamese government and private sector to further promote clean energy investment and infrastructure in both countries, amidst global geopolitical challenges and the growing trend towards a low-carbon society.

“The close cooperation and shared vision of the Thai and Vietnamese leaders will be a key driving force for sustainable growth between the two countries. GULF, as a leading Thai private sector company, is ready to support cooperation between the public and private sectors of both countries, especially in the energy transition area, where GULF has experience and expertise, to drive “New Engines of Growth” which will benefit the economy and society of the people of Thailand and Vietnam,” Mr. Sarath said.
