The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance confirmed that there has been no screening or disqualification of holders of "State Welfare Cards." A meeting to review the criteria for children using their parents' names for tax deductions is scheduled for June 11, 69.
June 9, 2569 – Mr. Lawan Saengsanit, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance It has been revealed that on June 11, 69, a meeting of the Public-Private Partnership Committee for Grassroots Economy and Society will be held, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Dr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, to address the Prime Minister's directives regarding a review of the eligibility criteria for the State Welfare Card. This is in response to public concerns about the tax deduction criteria for parents, which could result in parents losing their state welfare benefits.
"Whatever the outcome of the meeting, if a review is required, it must be presented to the Cabinet for consideration and approval so that the Ministry of Finance can proceed with the next steps."
However, the Ministry of Finance is still allowing holders of the state welfare card to verify their identity according to the original timeline, which opened for registration from June 4 to June 21, 2569.
"We confirm that there is currently no screening or disqualification of welfare card holders."
