13 June 2569 China's Ministry of Commerce said today that China strongly opposes and deeply regrets the U.S. Department of Defense's designation of some Chinese companies as "military companies." They also called on the United States to immediately reverse the measure.
A spokesperson for China's Ministry of Commerce stated that the United States should return to a path of building a stable, strategic, and constructive China-U.S. relationship, and must treat Chinese companies fairly, transparently, and without discrimination.
The statement said the U.S. disregarded the consensus reached by the leaders of both countries at their meeting in Beijing and also failed to consider the overall interests of economic and trade relations between the two countries.
A spokesperson for China's Ministry of Commerce stated that the United States continues to expand the interpretation of the concept of national security and uses state power to pressure and restrict Chinese companies without justifiable reason.
China views these measures as disrupting international economic and trade order, undermining the stability of global industrial and supply chains, and severely impacting the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies.
A spokesperson for China's Ministry of Commerce warned that if the United States does not cease such actions and revoke related measures, China will take decisive and strong countermeasures, and all consequences and responsibilities will fall solely on the United States.
