On June 13, 2026, His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklao Chao Khun issued a royal decree announcing that, in remembrance of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavadi, Krom Luang Rajasarinisiripatchara Mahavajrarajaraja, who passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, as His Majesty's eldest daughter, who possessed exemplary conduct, performed her royal duties with diligence and gratitude, honoring His Majesty's kindness and earning His Majesty's trust, bringing benefits to the nation as evident to all citizens everywhere, she dedicated herself to numerous royal duties in the fields of justice, charitable work, human rights protection, improving the quality of life for the underprivileged, and foreign affairs, and served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Austria. His Majesty served at the Permanent Mission of Thailand to the United Nations in New York. He held the position of Expert Prosecutor in the Office of the Attorney General. He served as Chairperson of the Friends in Need (of Thailand) Foundation, the Thai Red Cross Society, the Pacharasutha Elephant Conservation Foundation under Royal Patronage, the Phubodin Foundation under Royal Patronage, and the Royal Corrections Foundation for Charity and Well-being under Royal Patronage. Furthermore, he undertaken numerous royal duties in caring for the well-being of his subjects.
Upon her passing, His Majesty and all segments of the population deeply mourned her loss. His Majesty considered that Her Royal Highness, a daughter of His Majesty, possessed virtues that brought great honor to the Royal Family and deserved to receive even greater honors, in accordance with ancient royal tradition.
Therefore, a royal decree was issued commanding officials to prepare a seven-tiered white umbrella to be placed over the royal coffin as a mark of honor to be remembered for generations to come.
