The Bank of Thailand reiterates that it does not hold a Forex license and warns against investment scams.

Don't be fooled! The Bank of Thailand reiterates that any invitation to trade Forex is a scam. It confirms it has never granted licenses to anyone other than commercial banks and will support the DSI (Department of Special Investigation) in combating these fraudsters.
17 June 2569 Ms. Chayawadee Chaiyanan, Assistant Governor, Corporate Relations and Spokesperson, Bank of Thailand (BOT). Progress was revealed regarding the coordination with the DSI, the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau, and the Ministry of Justice in the recent 'Shutdown the Laundering' operation. Forex investment scams of this nature are considered public fraud cases, which primarily fall under the jurisdiction of the DSI and the police.
According to the law, the Bank of Thailand (BOT) has the authority to investigate and punish only licensed individuals who commit offenses. However, in cases of fraud committed by unlicensed individuals, this is considered a criminal offense that law enforcement agencies must handle. The BOT will play a role in providing information and coordinating closely with relevant agencies.
"The Bank of Thailand reiterates that no one can buy or sell FX except commercial banks. Therefore, if any general company invites you to invest, assume it is a scam."
Money changers are licensed solely for the exchange and transfer of funds; they are not permitted to speculate or invest on behalf of others.
Ms. Chayawadee Also said: Before making any investment decision, the public can verify the list of legally licensed financial institutions on the Bank of Thailand's website.
