Those who are below the legal age will not be able to create an account, use, or fully access the features of social media platforms.

Platforms operating in the country must implement strict age verification systems, such as digital identity verification and AI technology, to prevent registrations using false information, and must terminate accounts found to be used by underage users.

For ages 15–16, it can still be used, but under conditions such as content controls, restrictions on contact with strangers, and parental controls.

This measure is seen as part of a global trend where many countries are beginning to tighten regulations on social media use among children and youth. The government is giving service providers 12 months to adapt and comply with the new rules.
