Mr. Pairach Porpattananangkoon, Chief Executive Officer of Thai AirAsia. It was stated that, following the government's push forward with policies to stimulate the economy and distribute income to the regions through upgrading transportation and tourism infrastructure, particularly the development of Hua Hin Airport to fully accommodate international flights, AirAsia is fully prepared to support this policy. Therefore, it participated in a consultation event with local businesses to gather in-depth information for considering the opening of new international flight routes.

“Currently, AirAsia operates four domestic flights per week on the Hua Hin-Chiang Mai route from Hua Hin Airport, and will increase this to daily direct flights in October. We are very pleased to be the first airline to study and reopen international routes, in line with the government's development plan. We are confident that Hua Hin will become a popular destination for the international market, as it caters to both mainstream and premium markets, offering unique health and sports tourism activities,” said Mr. Pairach.
This brainstorming session sought suggestions under four main themes: Right Destination: Which international direct flights have potential? Right Customer: Who is the target tourist group? Right Product: What products and services meet the target group's needs? Right Support: What kind of collaboration is needed? The feedback was positive from local businesses, who agreed to work together to promote Hua Hin, Cha-am, and the surrounding areas to become a sustainable regional tourism hub.
