The Ministry of Finance revealed that the "Thai Helps Thai Plus" program has seen a surge in merchant usage, with over 6.4 businesses using the AI ​​"Nok Krasip" feature on the Thung Ngern (Money Bag) app. Most inquiries concern how to participate in the program. Cumulative spending exceeds 6 billion baht.

This has generated over 43,200 billion baht in spending, or 99 percent of the total spending value if all eligible citizens fully utilized their benefits.

Furthermore, according to the latest data as of July 7, 2026, at 11:00 PM, the project has had total spending of 60,518 million baht, broken down as follows:

• Part 1: Money spent by the public: 25,666 million baht. This comprises 24,903 million baht spent through general stores and 763 million baht spent through food delivery platform providers.
• Part 2: Government co-payment of 34,852 million baht. This comprises 33,872 million baht spent at general stores and 980 million baht in government co-payments through food delivery platforms.

Regarding public spending, approximately 76% of total spending was on restaurants and beverage outlets, government-subsidized shops, and food delivery services. This reflects that the majority of public spending is geared towards daily consumption, aligning with the project's objective of alleviating the burden of living costs for the public.

In terms of spending distribution, there are currently 1,083,770 merchants ready to accept the benefits. Of these, 106,046 are restaurants and beverage establishments that accept payments via food delivery platforms. Public spending is distributed across all regions, with 37,682 million baht spent in 22 major cities, representing 62% of the total spending.

The top five provinces with the highest spending were Bangkok, Chonburi, Samut Prakan, Pathum Thani, and Nonthaburi. Spending in 55 secondary cities totaled 22,836 million baht, representing 38% of the total spending. The top five secondary cities were Nakhon Si Thammarat, Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani, Ratchaburi, and Chiang Rai.

The funds from the project will help support working capital and increase liquidity for retailers, enabling them to purchase raw materials and maintain continuous employment. It will also contribute to the expansion of the supply chain and related economic sectors.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Finance further announced that merchants can use artificial intelligence (AI), called "Whispering Bird," within the "Thung Ngern" (Money Bag) application to help answer questions about the project and other government projects on the app. This includes automatic sales summaries and analyses, displaying peak sales times, assisting with inventory planning, tracking average raw material prices from the Department of Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce, and providing preliminary cost-profit estimates to help merchants make more accurate business management decisions.

It was found that, as of June 30, 2569, there were 6.4 merchants using the Nok Krassip Chatbot. Questions of interest included applying to join the project, applying to join a food delivery platform, using the application, and checking ingredient prices, among others.

It was found that restaurants and beverage shops had the highest number of businesses engaging in conversation with the "Whispering Birds," and small shops also had the most interactions with the birds.

In addition, 4.4 merchants used the Sales Insight feature, with an average of 2.2 daily uses and 1.5 monthly uses per merchant. This supports the collection of revenue data for use in accessing funding sources.
