Thai stocks are expected to trade sideways within the 1,560-1,600 point range today, July 9th, facing volatility from the situation in the Middle East following the latest US attack on Iran, which has driven up oil prices and raised bond yields. Attention is also focused on the Constitutional Court's ruling on the 4 billion baht loan decree.

July 9, 2569 Kasikorn Securities expects Thai stocks to fluctuate sideways today between 1,560 and 1,590 points. The escalating situation in the Middle East has boosted Brent crude by +5.2%. Short-term speculation could focus on upstream energy stocks, or investors could wait for dips to accumulate high-dividend stocks.

Innovation Exchange Securities Thai stocks are expected to fluctuate. Oil prices and bond yields rose following the latest US attack on Iran, boosting upstream energy stocks. However, President Trump stated that Iran has contacted them seeking a deal, meaning the situation still needs to be closely monitored.

On the domestic front, attention is focused on the Constitutional Court's ruling on the 4 billion baht loan decree, specifically whether it complies with Article 172 of the Constitution. A positive ruling is expected to help support the market. Technically, the index is consolidating and testing the 25-day moving average. If it fails to hold above this line, it is likely to continue falling.

Pie Securities estimates the SET index will move within the range of 1570 – 1600. The market is expected to recover, and Trump's statement is unlikely to have much impact on investment strategy. Nevertheless, we still emphasize increasing cash holdings. Short-term recommended stocks focus on tourism (MINT, CENTEL, CPALL, CPN, AWC), power plants (BGRIM, GPSC, GULF), airlines (AAV, BA), and hospitals (BH, BDMS, PR9).
