Furthermore, the Constitutional Court's 7:2 vote in favor of the 4 billion baht loan decree boosted stocks related to domestic consumption and investment.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) index closed this morning at 1,599.96 points, an increase of 23.71 points (+1.50%), trading value approximately 41,547 million baht.
In the morning, there was trading of 1 securities on the big board (BIG LOT), 1 items, with CPF having the highest value at 7.95 million baht, with an average price of 23.11 baht per share.
Mr. Chaiporn Nompitakcharoen, Managing Director of Securities Trading at Bualuang Securities, said that the Thai stock market rose in the morning session due to buying interest in large-cap stocks after yesterday's significant decline. The main driving factor is expected to continue the inflow of funds, even though concerns about renewed tensions in the Middle East have surfaced. However, the situation is not yet severe, which has eased market concerns somewhat.
Domestically, this morning saw positive sentiment stemming from the Constitutional Court's 7:2 ruling that the 4 billion baht loan decree, specifically the latter 2 billion baht allocated for energy transition, does not violate the constitution. This boosted the overall market, including stocks related to domestic consumption and investment.
The Thai stock market is expected to continue trading in positive territory this afternoon, with resistance at 1,610 points and support at 1,580 points.
