Thai stocks closed up 8.97 points in the morning session, boosted by a recovery in the tech sector and anticipation of progress in the US-Iran deal.

Thai stocks closed the morning session on July 10th at 1,617.27 points, up 8.97 points, with a trading value of 40,954 million baht. The rally was driven by a recovery in technology stocks, coupled with hopes of US-Iran negotiations, and further boosted by the Constitutional Court's approval of the 4 billion baht loan decree, as well as the IMF's upward revision of Thailand's 69 GDP growth forecast.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) index closed this morning, July 10, at 1,617.27 points, up 8.97 points (+0.56%), with a trading value of approximately 40,954 million baht.

In the morning session, there were two large block trades (BIG LOT) of two securities. CHHONGQ19 had the highest value at 4.93 million baht, with an average price of 8.80 baht per share.

Mr. Chanchai Panthathanakij, Director of Research at Maybank Securities (Thailand). It was stated that the Thai stock market rose this morning in line with regional markets, which saw renewed buying interest in technology stocks. In addition, the ongoing conflict in the Middle East has raised expectations that negotiations between the United States and Iran will move forward.

Meanwhile, domestic factors continue to provide support after the Constitutional Court ruled yesterday that the 4 billion baht loan decree does not violate the Constitution, allowing government projects to proceed as planned. In addition, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has revised its forecast for Thailand's GDP growth in 69 upwards to 1.9%, boosting the overall investment climate.

The afternoon trend is expected to remain volatile at high levels, with support at 1,605 points and resistance at 1,620 points.
