Bangkok Life Assurance therefore continues to drive its social activities through…project BLA"Paying attention to the silver seniors" Aiming to promote the well-being and quality of life of the elderly, while creating opportunities for access to physical rehabilitation for patients nationwide.

Recently, Bangkok Life Insurance mobilized volunteer employees from across the organization to create "Elephant Hand Grip," a basic device designed to promote hand grip, stimulate hand muscles, and improve circulation. This is ideal for individuals with muscle weakness, such as the elderly, stroke patients, those with neurological disorders, and those undergoing rehabilitation who often experience difficulties using their hands, impacting their daily lives and overall quality of life. The Elephant Hand Grip helps stimulate hand muscle function and promotes physical rehabilitation for stroke patients, those with neurological disorders, and the elderly with muscle weakness.

The company stated that the "Elephant Handshake" activity under the BLA "Caring for the Silver Generation" project is another initiative aimed at showing care and attention to the elderly and patients who are recovering.

This activity reflects the power of collaboration among Bangkok Life Assurance personnel, who worked together to create "Elephant Handshake" with intention and care. The goal is to produce and deliver 1,100 "Elephant Handshake" units to stroke care units and rehabilitation centers in six hospitals nationwide: the Northern Brain Disease Center and Stroke Critical Care Unit at Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital; the Specialized Stroke Center at Rajavithi Hospital; Bangkhunthien Elderly Hospital; the Brain Critical Care Unit at Chonburi Hospital; the Stroke Ward at Hat Yai Hospital; and the Stroke Ward at Sanprasit Pracha Hospital. This ensures that patients across the country have widespread access to this rehabilitation aid.

Chanantita Yaparohit, a skilled social worker at Rajavithi Hospital. One of the hospitals that received "Elephant Hand Grip" stated that the device can be used by both patients undergoing treatment and those seeking to prevent joint stiffness, especially the elderly with reduced grip strength. Continuous hand exercises improve wrist and finger mobility, reducing the risk of complications such as finger stiffness or pressure sores. Furthermore, it can be passed on to patients for continued use at home, ensuring ongoing rehabilitation. The hospital also thanked Bangkok Life Assurance for recognizing the importance of medical treatment and patient care, not only supporting treatment within the hospital but also enabling them to continuously distribute "Elephant Hand Grip" to patients and the elderly who require rehabilitation equipment.
