KTC reported a 17.4% surge in Q2 2569 profits to 2,225 million baht, driven by efficient cost management and excellent loan quality control. The company plans to aggressively pursue its insurance brokerage business in the second half of the year.

Mrs. Pittaya Worapanyasakul, Chief Executive Officer of “KTC” or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited. "In the context of continued economic uncertainty, KTC remains committed to sustainable growth. We aim to maintain a balance between business expansion, asset quality management, and generating optimal returns, while closely monitoring customer behavior and risk indicators to effectively manage portfolios in all circumstances. This allows us to maintain a strong market share across all our core products."

“The KTC Group has demonstrated continued profit growth, with Q2 and first half of 2569 revenues reaching 2,225 million baht and 4,397 million baht, respectively, representing increases of 17.4% and 17.1% compared to the same period in 2568. The company has also maintained strong asset quality within its planned target range. KTC continues to develop products, services, and benefits to meet the evolving needs of its members and customers, while adapting its strategies to the volatile business environment. The group is committed to upgrading its operations to become a fully digital organization and accelerating organizational transformation to enhance operational efficiency and achieve sustainable growth amidst the challenging Thai economic climate.”

The group's total revenue for the second quarter of 2026 remained stable at 6,834 million baht, an increase of 0.3% (YoY), while total expenses decreased by 6.9% (YoY) to 4,040 million baht. Based on three main factors:

  1. Expected credit losses decreased by 13.9% (YoY) as a result of portfolio quality management.
  2. Financial expenses decreased by 16.1% (YoY) due to lower new borrowing costs.
  3. Administrative expenses decreased slightly by 0.8% (YoY), resulting in the group's Cost to Income Ratio in Q2 2569 being 34.6%, down from 35.0% compared to the same period last year.

“Although the economic outlook in the second half of the year may remain uncertain, the KTC Group will continue to closely monitor the situation. We are confident that our financial strength, disciplined risk management, continuous application of technology, and business flexibility will be key foundations for building quality growth and delivering sustainable value to our members, shareholders, business partners, and all stakeholders.”

As of June 30, 2569, KTC Group had a total of 3,806,784 member accounts and a total loan portfolio valued at 107,741 million baht, an increase of 0.6% compared to the same period in 2568. The group's NPL ratio was 1.86%. Credit card members totaled 3,092,023 cards, an increase of 9.9%, with a total credit card loan portfolio valued at 70,005 million baht, an increase of 0.1%. Card spending volume in the first half of 2569 totaled 153,421 million baht, expanding by 4.7%, and the credit card NPL ratio was 1.14%. Meanwhile, personal loan members totaled 714,761 accounts, an increase of 2.8%, with a total personal loan portfolio valued at 36,474 million baht, growing by 3.0%, and the NPL ratio...

Personal loans stood at 2.55%, with the lease loan portfolio valued at 1,262 million baht, a decrease of 29.2%, and this proportion will gradually decrease. This is in line with the company's policy of ceasing to issue this type of loan since August 2566, and currently focusing only on debt collection and managing the quality of the existing loan portfolio.

KTC Group has also accelerated the adoption of digital technology and data analytics to enhance operational efficiency across all aspects, from risk management and product development to marketing communications and improving the member experience. This aims to create more convenient, faster, and personalized services. Adaptability is a key factor in today's business environment.

Therefore, we prioritize building an organization with agile decision-making, data-driven thinking, and the ability to adapt strategies to emerging opportunities and challenges to support long-term growth. In addition, the group continues to maintain sound financial discipline, reflected in a debt-to-equity ratio (D/E Ratio) that has decreased to 1.43 times from 1.64 times in the same period of the previous year, and a six-month cost of financing of 2.62%.

“KTC commenced operations in the insurance brokerage business at the end of 2568, aiming to lay a solid foundation through collaboration with insurance partners in both non-life and life insurance. In the initial phase, the company targets gradual growth, focusing on building a high-quality and stable business to diversify non-interest income and enhance future competitiveness. KTC is in the process of applying for an insurance broker license to offer insurance policies through electronic channels and expects approval from both the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) and the Bank of Thailand (BOT) in the second half of 2569. The company will continue to develop its strategic plan for insurance brokerage, offering policies through both offline and online channels to provide convenience and offer various insurance products tailored to customer needs.”

KTC has collaborated with the Bank of Thailand (BOT) on various debt relief programs, including the "You Fight, We Help" and "Pay Off Debt Quickly, Move Forward" programs. Even after the registration period for these programs ended, the company continued to provide assistance until the process was completed. Furthermore, in June 2026, the BOT issued guidelines on service fees and service standards, establishing criteria for fee collection by financial institutions, covering 19 fee items across four categories.

This directly impacts KTC in one area: a reduction in the fee for cash withdrawals using credit cards. The fee will decrease from 3.0% of the withdrawn amount to 2.5%, effective from July 1, 2026.

The company assesses that the implementation of the aforementioned program or all debt relief measures will not have a significant impact on the overall performance of the group.
