The Royal Thai Navy confirms that the ship attacked by Hormuz was not a Thai vessel, and states that Thai cargo ships are in safe areas.

The Royal Thai Navy has clarified reports circulating on social media that a Thai-flagged ship was attacked in the Strait of Hormuz. They confirmed that an investigation with relevant agencies found the vessel was not Thai-flagged. The only Thai cargo ship in the area remains unharmed.
On July 18, 2569, news circulating on social media reported an incident on Friday (July 17) where a Thai-flagged ship was attacked in the Strait of Hormuz after attempting to sail through the strategic route without permission from the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) navy.
Last Rear Admiral Parach Rattanachaiyapan, Spokesperson of the Royal Thai Navy. It was revealed that the Royal Thai Navy Operations Center coordinated the verification of data in the ship tracking system with the Maritime Security Command Center (MSCC) Operations Center and the Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) of the Marine Department, and found that: "The vessel mentioned in the news is not of Thai nationality." One Thai cargo ship is in a safe area.
Furthermore, an inspection of one Thai cargo ship currently operating in the Gulf of Oman, after coordinating with the ship's safety personnel, confirmed that the vessel and its crew are safe and that navigation and mission operations are proceeding normally.
The Royal Thai Navy urges the public to follow information from government agencies and reliable sources, and confirms that it will closely monitor the maritime security situation and continuously coordinate with relevant agencies to ensure the safety of Thai vessels and national maritime interests.
