The government is pleased with the results of the visit to China, where Minister Anutin signed 15 cooperation agreements, boosting confidence among Chinese investors and leading to a positive response with expanded investments in Thailand exceeding 70,000 billion baht.

On July 21, 2569, at 00.01:4 AM, Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul was satisfied with the success of his first official visit to China as Prime Minister. The visit expanded cooperation between Thailand and China in four key areas: government-central level, Thai government-provincial government level, Thai-Chinese private sector level, and people-to-people level.

1. Prime Minister Anutin took the opportunity to pay a courtesy call to President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang. Thailand reaffirms its stance on the Thai-Cambodian border issue, emphasizing the need for bilateral mechanisms and sincere negotiations to find a solution and achieve peace together.

1) The Prime Minister showcased Thailand's AI vision at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2026 (WAIC 2026), emphasizing three key aspects: Protection, Unlocking Potential, and Building Shared Prosperity. The shared goal is "Creating a future of AI that leaves no one behind."

2) "Fostering comprehensive relationships between central and local governments." The Prime Minister met with three high-ranking officials of the Chinese central government: President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and National People's Congress Chairman Zhao Leji, as well as two provincial-level officials: Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng and Sichuan Provincial Party Secretary Wang Xiaohui.

Moving towards modern cooperation to build a digital economy through trade, investment, artificial intelligence (AI) innovation, and future industries such as aerospace, AI EVs, and clean energy, Thailand aims to transform from a production "base" to a "partner" in the global supply chain. This will be achieved through technology transfer, the establishment of R&D centers, the development of Thai workforce skills (upskilling), and increased use of domestically produced components (local content). In terms of trade, China is interested in importing high-quality agricultural products from Thailand, and Thailand hopes to increase export value to create a more balanced trade relationship between Thailand and China.

To strengthen security, there will be a 2+2 mechanism between the Foreign Ministers of Thailand and the Defense Ministers of China, as well as efforts to combat transnational crime, online scams, and human trafficking. Thailand also assures China of the safety and security provided to tourists in Thailand, and it is believed that the number of Chinese tourists traveling to Thailand will increase as a result.

Thailand and China have signed 15 agreements covering science, aerospace, education, AI, commerce, intellectual property, and water management.

2. “Team Thailand Plus” – a collaboration between the Thai government and private sector. Creating opportunities for Thai private sector investment in China by participating in the Prime Minister - Thai Private Sector Luncheon, together with 150 Thai CEOs and business owners who have invested in China from various industries including finance, food, energy, industrial estates, medical and public health, and tourism. 3. “Roadshow of Thailand’s Potential” to Win Over Chinese Private Sector and Big Tech Companies This included visits to the headquarters of AgiBot, Huawei, Alibaba, and CP, as well as company-by-company discussions with leading Chinese technology companies such as Xiaomi Corporation, ChangAn Automobile, InnoLight Technology, and Eoptolink Technology. The Chinese private sector expressed confidence in Thailand's investment promotion policies in various industries and in the Thai investment ecosystem, including infrastructure, technology, and human resources. They responded positively, stating they would expand their investment in Thailand by more than 14 billion yuan, or approximately 70,000 billion baht, creating over ten thousand jobs nationwide.

4. Strengthen people-to-people relations. Tourism, research and development, and education focused on human resource development at the university and vocational levels provide many opportunities for Thai students to receive scholarships to study at leading universities in China.

“The Prime Minister is urging all agencies to translate various agreements into practical action. All relevant agencies must accelerate implementation to maintain the momentum of this expanding Thai-Chinese cooperation. This Friday, the Prime Minister will grant an audience to the Chinese Minister of National Defence, who will be paying an official visit as a guest of the Ministry of Defence, at Government House,” Ms. Rachada said.
