SCAP is aggressively expanding its mobile phone hire purchase business through the Locked Phone system, launching an unlimited automated loan approval system to streamline the workflow for partner stores. Simultaneously, it's partnering with Xiaomi to expand its distributor network nationwide, aiming for a new S-curve and long-term growth, with the ultimate goal of becoming the market leader in mobile phone hire purchase within two years.

July 21, 2569 Sri Sawad Capital 1969 Public Company Limited SCAP, a full-service retail lending provider offering personal loans and hire purchase loans including motorcycle hire purchase loans and Locked Phone mobile phone loans, is aiming for a full-scale expansion into the mobile phone hire purchase market with its Locked Phone system in the second half of the year, building on its proactive success.

Moving forward, the company is forging closer partnerships with Xiaomi and investing heavily in developing an unlimited automated loan approval system for mobile phone vendors nationwide. This will streamline the loan sales process for partner stores, reduce operational steps, support loan expansion without the need for staff, and provide unrestricted access to mobile phone buyers in every village, sub-district, and region across the country. The goal is to boost Locked Phone loan sales, become the leading mobile phone hire purchase loan provider in Thailand, and achieve long-term, sustainable growth.

Ms. Duangjai Kaewbutta, Acting Chief Executive Officer, Srisawad Capital 1969 Public Company Limited. It was stated that providing mobile phone hire-purchase loans with a locked phone system is a long-term strategic plan to generate profits or a new S-curve for SCAP, diversifying the risk of its loan portfolio. By combining the strengths of customer behavior data from leading mobile phone companies in Thailand with the company's expertise in loan management and risk control, it can drive outstanding loan portfolio growth amidst the challenges of the economic situation and consumer purchasing power.

The company predicts that the mobile market, with sales exceeding 17 million units per year, will become more reliant on credit due to continuously rising chip prices, which are driving up the cost of mobile phones. This upward trend in mobile phone prices is expected to continue for at least another year.

The success of the first phase reflects the continued growth in demand for mobile phones and smartphones, which have become essential tools for people's daily lives and careers. Therefore, SCAP sees significant potential for further growth in mobile phone hire-purchase loans through the Locked Phone system.

In the second half of 2569, the company plans to enhance its collaboration with several more mobile phone partners, including a partnership with Xiaomi, a key player in the market. This involves investing in the development of a limitless, paperless, automated loan approval system for dealers and mobile phone vendors to use in approving loans and increasing sales for partner dealers nationwide.

To enable partner stores to be more agile and provide faster service, reduce the burden of paperwork and personnel, lower operating costs, and effectively support unlimited expansion of the new customer base without the need for loan officers or any company staff, while also supporting environmentally friendly operations by completely eliminating paper usage. The goal is to be the leader in mobile phone hire purchase loans with the Locked Phone system within 2 years, following the successful establishment of leadership in the motorcycle hire purchase loan market in the country.

“We are confident that expanding into the mobile phone hire purchase market through the Locked Phone system will be a key foundation for creating a new S-Curve for SCAP. Our automated loan approval system, designed to support expansion, will increase service speed, reduce operating costs, and manage risk intelligently to minimize risk. This will lead to stable and sustainable long-term profit growth. SCAP remains committed to good governance and responsible lending, aligning with the principles of sustainable business operations within the ESG framework.” Ms. Duangjai said:

SCAP is confident that its aggressive expansion plan for mobile phone hire purchase loans through the Locked Phone system, driven by a continuously growing partner network, the unlimited automated loan approval system launched in July without the need for loan officers, and intelligent risk management, will further enhance the company's retail lending business and ensure stable growth. This aligns with SAWAD Group's core policy of maximizing the efficiency of existing services and infrastructure, diversifying products, and securing long-term revenue streams to drive organizational growth and sustainable long-term profitability.
