Ajinomoto unveils its 2026 plan, leveraging AminoScience innovation to drive business. Highlighting last year's revenue of 3.4 billion baht, the company is adjusting its strategy to embrace three global food trends: value for money, long-term health, and convenience to meet lifestyle needs. It is aggressively expanding into the B2B market with the launch of "Ajinomoto Restaurant Partner," aiming to reduce costs and streamline processes for over 700,000 restaurants nationwide.

On July 22, 2569, Satoshi Utagawa, Managing Director of Ajinomoto (Thailand) Co., Ltd. , revealed the company's business direction for 2569. The company aims to enter a new phase of growth, elevating itself from a food producer to a trusted partner in promoting the health and well-being of Thai people. This will be achieved by leveraging its expertise in "AminoScience" technology as the core of developing innovative food and nutrition products.

After 2025, the company aims to achieve total revenue of 34 billion baht, driven by the strength of its three main product lines that hold the number one market share: Ros Dee seasoning (90%), Ajinomoto MSG (80%), and Birdy canned coffee (50%).

This business direction reflects an adaptation to modern consumer behavior. Data from Innova Market Insights identifies three key trends for 2026: the pursuit of value for money (with two-thirds comparing prices before purchasing), the emphasis on health and longevity, and the demand for convenient food and beverages tailored to specific times. Therefore, Ajinomoto has implemented three main strategies: developing innovative health products, expanding its portfolio into ready-to-eat frozen meals under the "Ajinomoto Umai" brand , and aggressively targeting the restaurant operator market.

“This year, Ajinomoto Thailand aims to drive its business by combining world-class innovations with local insights to reinforce its position as a health-conscious partner for Thais, as well as restaurant owners, communities, and food businesses,” Satoshi stated.

A key highlight of this year's operations is the launch of the "Ajinomoto Partner for Restaurants" initiative, aiming to expand its reach to the approximately 700,000 to 1,000,000 Thai restaurants and street food vendors nationwide. This is because nearly 50% of Thai consumers rely on ready-to-eat meals, whether for dine-in, takeout, or delivery. This new service will help business owners reduce costs, streamline processes, and save time in food preparation, thereby improving the operational efficiency of small restaurants.

“Our goal is not just to deliver better products, but also to create a positive impact on society, from consumers and communities to restaurant owners and business partners, through AminoScience,” Mr. Satoshi emphasized.

In addition to its commercial plans, the company also reported progress towards its 2568 environmental goals, achieving a 100% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions compared to the 2561 baseline, a 91% reduction in food waste during processes, a 19.2% reduction in water usage, a conversion of 68% of packaging to recyclable materials, and achieving 100% sustainable procurement. These achievements are part of the company's commitment to building a sustainable long-term food ecosystem.
