UOB supports SP Group in expanding its sustainable energy solutions business.

SP Group, Seraphina Ho Chief Financial Officer, Singapore Power Energy (Thailand) under... SP Group participated in the signing ceremony to support green project financing. The bank structured the loan as a Senior Secured Green Project Finance Loan, aligning with recognized green finance principles, to support SP's long-term business expansion strategy in Thailand. Currently, SP owns and manages green energy infrastructure assets across various business sectors throughout Thailand. The proceeds from the financing will be used to invest in eligible green infrastructure assets under a non-recourse loan structure, supporting project development from the initial stages to full commercial operation.
Within its comprehensive financial solution, UOB Thailand also utilized interest rate hedging tools denominated in Thai Baht to manage interest rate volatility and enhance cash flow certainty throughout the loan term.

UOB Bank provided its first green loan to SP in 2564 and has provided green loan support for the development project of the Labrador Tower in Singapore, a highly energy-efficient building, in 2566.
