Thailand is preparing to host Gastech 2026 from September 14-17. The Cabinet has established a national committee to attract over 50,000 participants from 150 countries.

It has been revealed that the Cabinet has approved the proposal from the Ministry of Energy (MOE) to appoint a national committee to prepare for hosting the Gastech Exhibition & Conference 2026 (Gastech 2026). Gastech is a world-class annual academic conference and exhibition showcasing energy technology and innovation.

It serves as a key platform for discussion and policy exchange among leaders from both the public and private sectors, policymakers, academics, energy industry experts, and investors from around the world on topics such as the development of natural gas technology, liquefied natural gas, hydrogen fuel, clean energy, and artificial intelligence technology.

Historically, the host countries of Gastech have been countries with significant potential and leadership in the energy sector, such as the United States, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, South Korea, and Singapore. The most recent Gastech event was held in Italy in 2025, with over 50,000 participants from 150 countries.

Miss Ploytalee It was stated that Thailand, through the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), submitted a bid to host Gastech 2026. Thailand has been accepted as the host country for Gastech 2026, and the Ministry of Finance will co-host the event with the TCEB.

The event is scheduled to take place from September 14-17, 2026 in Bangkok. It is expected to attract approximately 50,000 participants, including foreign energy ministers and leaders of international organizations, as well as policymakers, academics, energy industry experts, and investors from 150 countries worldwide.

In order to ensure Thailand is well-prepared to host Gastech 2026, the Ministry of Energy proposes the establishment of a National Committee to facilitate coordination and drive various operations among relevant agencies. This includes aspects such as protocol and administrative management, public relations, security, and traffic management. The National Committee will comprise representatives from relevant government and private sector agencies, with the Minister of Energy serving as the chairperson and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy as the vice-chairperson.
