The Minister of Finance, along with the BOI (Board of Investment), will join the Prime Minister's delegation on a visit to Australia and New Zealand from August 17-22, 2569, to expand on the FTA, boost EV exports, and move forward in attracting Canva to invest in Thailand's Creative Economy.

On August 17, 2569, Dr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, revealed that he will join the Prime Minister on a visit to Australia and New Zealand from August 17-22, 2569. He stated that Thailand currently has a strong base of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with both Australia and New Zealand, which are crucial export markets, particularly in the automotive industry. The positive impact of this is already being seen as Thai-made electric vehicles (EVs) are beginning to be exported to Australia.

In addition to promoting export products, the mission also includes leading the Board of Investment (BOI) to meet and discuss with investors in Australia and New Zealand to attract new investment into Thailand. The goal is to negotiate with global technology companies like Canva, a leader in design platforms, to attract investment related to the Creative Economy into the country.

"Thailand already has FTAs with Australia and New Zealand. This visit will further enhance economic activity between the two countries."
