Krungthai Bank launches "Krungthai Sabai Jai Debit Card," offering accident protection for everyday life, catering to the needs of an aging society.

Krungthai Bank, in collaboration with Visa, has launched the "Krungthai Sabai Jai Debit Card," combining convenient spending with accident insurance coverage. This card is designed for senior citizens aged 75-90, providing peace of mind for cardholders and their families by covering common accident risks.

Ms. Nareerat Ariyaprayoon, Head of Retail Strategy and Products at Krungthai Bank, revealed that Thailand is entering a full-fledged aging society. Data from the Department of Provincial Administration indicates that there are over 3.4 million people aged 75-90 years old, resulting in a continuously increasing demand for financial products that meet the needs of senior citizens. Therefore, the bank developed the " Krungthai Sabai Jai Debit Card" as an option for senior citizens, elevating the role of debit cards to a product that helps ensure financial security related to healthcare and provides peace of mind in daily life.

The "Krungthai Sabai Jai Debit Card" is for senior citizens aged 75-90 years old who desire both convenient spending and accident protection in daily life. The card issuance fee is 100 baht and the annual fee is 1,599 baht. Its key feature is accident protection underwritten by Tipaya Insurance Public Company Limited.

• Coverage for accidental death, 24 hours a day, worldwide, up to 1 million baht.
• Covers medical expenses from accidents, up to 10,000 baht per incident, with no limit on the number of incidents.
• Covers accidents that may occur in daily life. No upfront payment required at participating hospitals.

To celebrate the launch of the Krungthai Sabaijai debit card, the bank is offering a special promotion, "Apply as a Pair, Care Every Step of the Way," from August 1st to October 31st, 2026. New applicants receive a 100 baht discount on the card issuance fee. Furthermore, when applying together as a pair or more people, the card issuance fee and annual fee (first year) are reduced to 200 baht per person, subject to the bank's terms and conditions.
