Anutin courts two New Zealand giants to invest in Thailand, proposing it as a distribution base for goods to ASEAN and India.

Anutin Charnvirakul is courting two New Zealand giants, Kyline Enterprises and T&G Global, to invest in Thailand. He proposes using Thailand as a distribution base for their products in ASEAN and India, and to further expand their Envy brand network.
On August 20, 2026, at 1:00 PM in New Zealand, Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that during his official visit to New Zealand, Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs Anutin Charnvirakul met with executives from leading New Zealand companies: Skyline Enterprises, a tourism and travel agency, and T&G Global, a global agricultural and fruit company and owner of the Envy™ brand. The meeting was arranged by the Board of Investment (BOI) to connect business opportunities and promote concrete investment and cooperation between the two countries.
The spokesperson for the Prime Minister said that the Prime Minister used this visit to directly present Thailand's potential to New Zealand businesses, emphasizing that Thailand is not only a large market but can also serve as an investment base, a production base, and a gateway connecting businesses to ASEAN markets and other regions of the world. The government therefore aims to transform the good relationship between Thailand and New Zealand into economic opportunities that benefit both the people and businesses of both countries.

During discussions with Skyline Enterprises, the Prime Minister invited the company to consider expanding its investment into Thailand. Thailand has strengths in its diverse tourist attractions, large number of tourists, and potential for developing new types of tourist destinations and activities, particularly targeting the family tourism market, which aligns with the company's expertise.
Executives from Skyline Enterprises expressed interest in business opportunities in Thailand, recognizing the potential of the Thai market and tourist attractions, including opportunities to target family tourists. The Prime Minister therefore instructed the BOI to work closely with the company to study the feasibility and further develop investment in Thailand.

During discussions with T&G Global, the company expressed interest in finding a distribution base to support its market expansion into various ASEAN countries and India. The Prime Minister suggested that the company consider Thailand as a distribution hub, citing Thailand's geographical advantages and efficient logistics systems, including land and sea transport links to neighboring ASEAN countries and markets outside the region. Furthermore, Thailand's network of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) can support business expansion and access to international markets.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister invited T&G Global to view Thailand as an agricultural partner, not just a distribution point. Thailand is a major global producer of agricultural and food products, possessing diverse raw materials, as well as significant agricultural knowledge and technology. Meanwhile, New Zealand has expertise in product development, branding, and global marketing. By combining the strengths of both countries, they can add value to agricultural products, create new products, and expand markets simultaneously.
The Prime Minister also proposed expanding cooperation to leverage the strengths of the Envy brand and T&G Global's international market network to support market access for high-quality Thai fruits, particularly in Europe. This would benefit both sides: New Zealand could use Thailand as a gateway to ASEAN and Indian markets, while Thai fruits would have the opportunity to access new international markets through the New Zealand partner's network.
“During this visit to New Zealand, the government aims to transform bilateral relations into tangible economic opportunities. We invite investment into the country, but at the same time, we must open doors for Thai products and entrepreneurs to access global markets. Thailand has strategic locations, agriculture, tourism, infrastructure, and FTA networks. If we connect these strengths with global capital, technology, and business networks, it will benefit Thailand far more than simply trading goods,” said the spokesperson for the Prime Minister .
The Prime Minister has instructed the BOI to continuously follow up on discussions with both companies to redirect the private sector's interest towards concrete investment projects and collaborations. This will help create economic activity, increase opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs, and strengthen Thailand's role as a regional hub for business, investment, and market connectivity.
