PTT views the crisis as an opportunity, moves forward with its business plan, and drives LNG into a new growth engine.

PTT is strategizing to cope with volatility by diversifying energy sources, increasing flexibility throughout the supply chain, and seeking investment opportunities from changing circumstances. It is pushing LNG as a new growth engine and welcoming partnerships, aiming for a LNG portfolio of 3.7 million tons this year and targeting 15 million tons by 2578. The board is expected to approve an interim dividend in September.
On August 21, 2569, Dr. Kongkrapan Intarajong, Chief Executive Officer and President of PTT Public Company Limited (PTT), revealed that PTT, as a state-owned enterprise and a listed company on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, plays a crucial role in both ensuring national energy security and generating good returns for shareholders. Amidst the volatile energy situation, PTT prioritizes preparing and managing its business to continuously adapt to changes.
PTT manages its business throughout the supply chain, ensuring sufficient financial liquidity to cope with rising costs and volatility. It also diversifies its crude oil sources, avoiding dependence on any single source, and leverages its extensive global network of business partners to ensure a continuous supply of crude oil. Furthermore, it invests in pre-finishing refineries to enhance refining efficiency and flexibility in accommodating crude oil from various sources.
Strategically, PTT continues to focus on its core and area of expertise in hydrocarbons, while simultaneously reducing greenhouse gas emissions and strengthening investment governance processes. This is to create a balance between business growth, energy security, and shareholder returns.

LNG: A New Growth Engine, Pushing Portfolio to 15 Million Tons by 78.
For new growth drivers, PTT is focusing on the liquefied natural gas (LNG) business. It will leverage its international trading capabilities and global network to diversify energy sources, increase management flexibility, and enhance energy security.
PTT aims to expand its LNG portfolio to 3.7 million tons by 2569. The volume reached 1.75 million tons in the first half of this year, with targets to increase to 10 million tons by 2573 and 15 million tons by 2578. The company is seeking investment opportunities in both production sources, such as the United States, and end-markets in various regions, including China, South Korea, and Europe.
Dr. Kongkrapan stated that natural gas will continue to play a crucial role in maintaining the stability of the energy system during the global transition to clean energy, including in Thailand. From September 14-17, Thailand will have the opportunity to showcase its potential on the global energy stage by hosting Gastech 2026, an event organized by PTT in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and other public and private sector partners. This event will provide a platform for exchanging policy perspectives among the government, private sector, and international organizations.
While its petrochemical and refining businesses continue to seek global partners to strengthen its core businesses, PTT is adapting its operations to the changing context, including the unrest in the Middle East and government policy factors. PTT views these changing circumstances as opportunities, rather than simply reacting defensively.
In 69, PTT Group will invest 2.8 billion baht, and will pour 1 trillion baht into 5 years.
For its 2569 investment plan, PTT has allocated approximately 28,000 billion baht for investment in pipeline and storage systems. Around 10,000 billion baht has already been invested in the first half of the year, and PTT is confident it can utilize 100% of the planned investment, as discussed with the Ministry of Finance.
PTT Group's investment target for the next five years is approximately 1 trillion baht. This includes investments in key projects of the group, such as projects of PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP), the CFP project of Thai Oil Public Company Limited (TOP), investments in PTT's pipeline system, and expansion of its LNG trading and business.
In terms of liquidity, PTT Group currently has total cash flow of approximately 425 billion baht, with PTT itself accounting for approximately 120 billion baht. PTT's liquidity has increased slightly due to a 70 billion baht loan from Siam Commercial Bank at the end of the second quarter of 2026, and prior to that, approximately 150 billion baht was borrowed from other financial institutions.
Regarding the interim dividend payment from the first half of 2569's operating results, it is expected to be considered by the company's board of directors meeting in September, which is another issue that shareholders are closely watching.
Accelerate strengthening from within and leverage AI to increase efficiency.
In addition to business expansion, PTT is accelerating its internal strengthening efforts by advancing its Profit Enhancement Initiatives. This has generated over 8,700 billion baht in added value through collaboration within the PTT Group via the MissionX project, while also driving digital transformation through the AXIS project, which focuses on applying digital tools and artificial intelligence (AI) to operations.
Dr. Kongkrapan emphasized that the adoption of AI will not result in personnel reductions, but there will be no hiring of replacements for employees who retire. He acknowledged that the application of AI will allow for reduced human resource requirements and improve organizational efficiency.
Meanwhile, PTT continues to strengthen cooperation in supply chain and marketing, both domestically and internationally, through P1 and D1 projects. This is coupled with efforts to achieve Financial Excellence (F1) to maintain financial discipline and manage cash flow effectively within the PTT Group. This is a crucial foundation for long-term growth and shareholder returns.
Furthermore, PTT Group supports government measures and helps mitigate the impact of energy prices on the public, with estimated support for government measures totaling approximately 17,500 billion baht, of which PTT contributed over 8,500 billion baht.

Moving forward with carbon reduction while ensuring energy security.
In terms of sustainability, PTT continues to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and plays a role in developing infrastructure and technologies for carbon reduction. The Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project at the Arthit natural gas field in the Gulf of Thailand is expected to commence operations in 2571.
Simultaneously, they are driving the I-SPARK project, a pilot project to build readiness in clean energy and infrastructure to support future industries and the country's economic growth. They are also collaborating with the Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage to enhance forest management as a source of carbon dioxide absorption and create carbon credits, with community participation, in support of the country's Net Zero goal.
PTT aims to conduct its business under the Energy Trilemma approach, encompassing three dimensions: energy security, access to affordable and competitive energy, and sustainable business operations. It strives to become a global LNG player and elevate itself to a national champion, connecting the potential and opportunities of Thai businesses to the global stage. This is coupled with the adoption of AI and digital technologies, as well as the promotion of clean energy innovations and carbon reduction, under the vision of "Together for Sustainable Thailand, Sustainable World."
