Binance launches trading of over 1,000 US stock and ETF options, targeting customers outside of the US.

Binance is expanding its reach to connect the crypto market with traditional financial assets, allowing users outside the US to trade options referencing over 1,000 American stocks and ETFs.
On September 1, 2026, at 3:15 PM, Bloomberg News reported that Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency trading platform, is giving clients access to trading options referencing more than 1,000 US stocks and ETFs through a partnership with a US securities firm. This marks another step for the crypto platform in expanding its services into traditional financial assets.
The product is available exclusively to users outside the United States through Nest Trading Limited, a Binance subsidiary based in Abu Dhabi, in partnership with Alpaca Securities LLC, a US-registered broker-dealer.
Alpaca will be responsible for executing trading orders, settling and delivering securities, as well as safeguarding client assets.
This option launch is part of Binance's expansion into the Traditional Finance (TradeFi) product portfolio, following the platform's previous offerings ranging from tokenized securities to perpetual futures contracts.
This move reflects the trend of digital asset platforms attempting to evolve into “everything apps” by offering a diverse range of asset types to retain users. Competitors like Coinbase and Kraken have begun offering similar products.
Shunyet Jan, Head of Exchange and Trading at Binance, stated that the adoption of crypto infrastructure on TradFi assets is gaining significant popularity, and the company is responding to user demand by expanding investment options.
Demand for trading traditional assets on Binance has increased rapidly, with Jan noting that the daily trading volume of Sandisk-referenced Perpetual Futures recently surpassed Bitcoin trading volume on Binance.
Binance data also indicates that the monthly trading volume of Perpetual Futures linked to traditional financial assets on the platform increased approximately 15-fold, from around $3 billion in January to around $4.45 billion in July.
Historically, the crypto industry has often viewed Perpetual Futures as a simpler product for retail investors to understand than options, because they have no expiration date and can be used to directly open long or short positions with leverage.
However, Jan argues that options still have some advantages that Perpetual Futures lack, such as allowing for more precise timing and investment strategies, and eliminating the risk of forced position closures found in some leveraged trading products.
An option is a contract that gives the holder the right, but not the obligation, to buy or sell an underlying asset at a specified price within or on a specified expiration date.
This expansion of services reflects the increasing competition between crypto platforms and traditional financial service providers, as the line between investing in digital assets and traditional financial markets continues to narrow.
