Allianz Ayutthaya accelerates unit-linked insurance sales growth by 56%, launching two new products to target the investment-linked insurance market.

Allianz Ayutthaya agents generated over 333 million baht in unit-linked premiums in the first seven months, rising to second place in the market. They also launched the “My Style Protect Series,” highlighting the ability to adjust coverage amounts according to life stages without a medical examination. The company aims to increase first-year premiums by 45% and expand its team of licensed IC sales agents to over 1,800 by the end of the year.
September 3, 2026 – Mr. Wirong Pattanakamjorn, Senior Vice President, Life and Health Insurance Agency Management Division, Allianz Ayutthaya Life Insurance Public Company Limited, revealed the direction of the unit-linked business, stating that in the first seven months of 2026, the performance of unit-linked products through the agency channel showed strong growth. First-year premiums (FYP) expanded by 56% compared to the same period last year, reaching 333 million baht. This resulted in unit-linked sales accounting for 14% of total agency sales, placing the company in second place in the market for this product type through the agency channel.
“One of the key factors that has enabled us to consistently grow in the unit-linked market is our understanding of customer needs. Therefore, we continuously invest in developing the capabilities of our agents. Currently, we have over 1,582 licensed Investment Advisors (ICs), representing 12% of our total agents. Our long-term growth target is…”
By 2569, we aim for a 45% growth in our unit-linked business, or total premium sales of approximately 688 million baht, along with increasing the number of IC agents to 1,800. This will strengthen the unit-linked portfolio with innovative products. Recently, we launched My Style Protect Plus and My Style Protect Max to enhance the unit-linked portfolio and provide customers with more flexible options to design their protection and investment strategies to better suit different stages of their lives.”

Strengthening product lines with lifelong flexibility.
To support growth, the company has expanded its unit-linked product line to six items from the previous four. The latest addition is the “My Style Protect Series,” designed to meet consumers' flexible financial planning needs based on their real-life lifestyles.
Ms. Phobporn Pipatsathukit, Senior Director of Unit - Linked Business at Allianz Ayutthaya Life Insurance Public Company Limited, pointed out an insight into today's consumers: "The need for protection varies with age but changes throughout life, including marriage, having children, financial burdens, and increased family responsibilities. Therefore, the appropriate insurance coverage today may not be sufficient for the future."
A key highlight of this product suite is the Life Event Benefit feature , which allows policyholders to request an increase in their main life insurance coverage without a medical examination or additional health questionnaire, upon the occurrence of five significant life events such as reaching age 20, marriage, having a child, or adoption. The maximum increase is capped at 5 million baht. It also includes an option for maximum life coverage (My Style Protect Max), providing coverage up to 300 times the premium, coupled with long-term planning bonuses (Loyalty Bonus and Premium Bonus) and flexibility to temporarily suspend premium payments, withdraw partial funds, or switch funds based on financial circumstances.

Speed, the sales leader, is the key to driving sustainable growth.
Beyond developing its insurance product structure, the company's key strategy for gaining market share is to accelerate the development of its sales team. Because unit-linked products are more complex than typical life insurance, agents need a solid understanding of both insurance and investment.

"Simply put, we have a good product, a good system, and a good back-end system, but if we don't have enough sales representatives with IC Licenses, we can't promote this product," Mr. Wirapong emphasized the importance of empowering agents.
The company therefore prioritizes reskilling and upskilling its team through intensive training courses, and the establishment of clubs and societies specifically for this group of representatives. This is to build confidence and elevate their professionalism in providing advice to consumers, which is a key mechanism to help achieve sales targets and the number of IC representatives as planned by the end of this year.
