Thai stocks closed up 18.66 points, rebounding in line with global markets following signals that the Fed will keep interest rates unchanged. DELTA led the gains among large-cap stocks.

Thai stocks closed today, September 4th, at 1,595.58 points, up 18.66 points, with a trading value of 63,421 million baht. This followed signals from Federal Reserve officials supporting maintaining interest rates if inflation slows, causing bond yields to fall and driving buying interest back into large-cap stocks, led by DELTA.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Index on September 4 closed at 1,595.58 points, an increase of 18.66 points (+1.18%). Trading value was 63,421.60 million baht. Foreigners net bought 121.51 million baht, funds bought net 948.47 million baht.
Today, there were 11 securities traded in 15 big lot transactions. MTI had the highest value at 119.96 million baht, with an average price of 19.00 baht per share.
Mr. Chayut Krailasratanasiri, IAA, CISA, Assistant Director of Securities Analysis at Land and Houses Securities, said that the Thai stock market rebounded clearly today, following international stock markets, after members of the U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) Council indicated last night that if August inflation figures slow down, they would support the Fed maintaining interest rates at its September meeting. This caused U.S. government bond yields to fall.
Today, the index was primarily driven by gains in the electronics components sector, especially DELTA, as well as widespread gains in large-cap stocks such as AOT, ADVANC, and CPALL.
Looking ahead to next week (September 7-11, 2569) , the market is expected to fluctuate within a range. Investors should monitor the US August non-farm payroll figures released tonight, which are projected to show an increase of 56,000 positions. Also, keep an eye on the central bank meetings scheduled for next week in several countries. Domestically, the consideration of the 70 budget and the public consultation on the new PDP (Power Development Plan) should provide positive sentiment for the power plant sector. Support levels are estimated at 1,570-1,580 points, and resistance is at 1,600 points. If that level is breached, the next resistance level could be 1,620-1,630 points.
