Iran attacked two US warships and threatened a strong retaliation if the aggression continues.

The IRGC (International Marine Corps) revealed that Iranian forces fired missiles at a US aircraft carrier and two US destroyers after being accused of threatening Iranian ships and participating in a naval blockade. The IRGC warned the US to prepare for a strong retaliation as conflict escalates in the Strait of Hormuz, a vital oil shipping route.
On September 6, 2569, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) revealed that Iranian air forces had attacked a US Navy aircraft carrier and destroyer with multiple missiles in the preceding hours, after the two vessels threatened Iranian ships and participated in a naval blockade against Iran.
A statement released via Sepah News, the IRGC's official news agency, indicated that both warships had fled the combat area after sustaining damage.
The IRGC warned that if “hostile and aggressive” actions continue, the U.S. government would have to prepare for a “severe” retaliation from the Iranian military.
Xinhua News Agency reported that on Saturday night (September 5), the IRGC attacked three oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz while they were sailing in an "unauthorized" route, and attacked three other US-affiliated vessels in other areas, in retaliation for the US attacking three Iranian oil tankers earlier that day.
