PTT clarified to the Stock Exchange of Thailand that it is in discussions with several potential partners to strengthen its refining and petrochemical businesses in order to cope with excess production capacity and volatility in the global energy market. However, there has been no significant progress or agreement reached with any party. PTT reiterated that it will continue to hold the majority stake and maintain control of the businesses.

On September 9, 2569, PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) clarified to the Stock Exchange of Thailand regarding news reports about the possibility of foreign partners investing in PTT Group's refinery business. PTT stated that it is currently discussing and evaluating opportunities for cooperation with several potential partners, but there has been no significant progress and no agreement has been reached with any party.

PTT stated that it has continuously communicated to investors, including at the recent shareholder meeting, that seeking strategic partnerships in the refining and petrochemical businesses is one of the approaches the company is considering in order to enhance its competitiveness and strengthen the group's business in the long term.

The collaboration aims to enhance national energy security, increase supply chain resilience, expand market access, advance technological development, and improve operational efficiency to address challenges from overcapacity and volatility in global energy markets.

However, any cooperation structure with strategic partners must be conditional on PTT remaining the majority shareholder and controlling power within those business groups, ensuring that strategic direction and policies remain under PTT's supervision.

The company further stated that any actions taken will be carefully considered, taking into account the benefits to the business, stakeholders, the economy, and the country's energy security, while complying with all applicable laws and approval processes.

If there is any significant progress, PTT will notify the Stock Exchange of Thailand in accordance with the established guidelines.
