Additionally, investors may have engaged in risk-reduction selling ahead of the release of US inflation figures tonight.

Mr. Chaiporn Nompitakcharoen, Managing Director of Securities Trading at Bualuang Securities, stated that the Thai stock market fell sharply today, following international stock markets. Investors are in a risk-off mood due to ongoing tensions in the Middle East and continued uncertainty. This has driven up crude oil prices, raising concerns about inflationary pressure and high US bond yields, all of which are weighing on risky assets.

In addition, it is expected that some investors chose to sell to reduce risk before the release of the US August CPI figures tonight, which is another factor putting pressure on the market. Although electronics component stocks, with the exception of DELTA, have risen due to high demand for technology investments, helping to support the index to some extent.

The trend for next week (September 14-18, 2569) will focus on the US August CPI figures tonight. If they are higher than expected, it could be a pressure factor on the stock market, but if they are lower than expected, it should be supportive. Also, watch the direction of the US stock market tonight. Resistance is at 1,610 points, and support is at 1,590 points.
