Thai stocks are expected to trade sideways within the range of 1,580-1,610 points today, September 15th, under pressure from international factors including concerns over AI development, the situation in the Middle East, oil prices, and high bond yields. The market is also awaiting the results of the Fed meeting. Domestic political tensions are beginning to ease.

September 15, 2569 – CGS International (Thailand) or CGSI expects the Thai stock market (SET Index) to fluctuate within the range of 1,585-1,610 points today. Overall international factors remain a pressure point, following concerns expressed by several executives of AI companies in the US regarding security and calls to slow down the pace of AI development.

However, the Thai stock market received some positive impetus from the easing of the political overhang after the Election Commission decided to send only 26 of the 138 senators accused of involvement in the Senate election collusion case to the Supreme Court for further consideration. Nevertheless, caution is advised regarding volatility stemming from specific factors related to DELTA today.

InnovateX Securities expects Thai stocks to fluctuate within a range. Domestically, the Senate collusion case and its limited impact have already been partially factored in, while external factors awaiting the Fed meeting and the situation in the Middle East remain a key consideration.

Furthermore, high bond yields and oil prices are causing investors to remain cautious. They are expected to continue selectively investing in individual stocks with positive catalysts, alternating with stocks that have lagged behind and performed slowly in the past.

The key issue today is the first day of the Fed meeting. Technically, the index has broken below 1600, causing the overall picture to return to sideways-down trading.

Pie Securities estimates the SET index at 1580 – 1605. This morning, KOSPI is down 0.6%, which may pressure tech stocks like DELTA and HANA. Strategically, focus on value stocks.

Businesses such as banks (BBL, KBANK, KTB, SCB), hospitals (BDMS, BH, BCH, PR9), retailers (CPALL, CPN, HMPRO), and export-oriented companies (ITC, TU) have benefited from the weakening of the Thai baht.
