YLG's evening gold analysis reports that gold prices fell this afternoon compared to this morning due to profit-taking and risk reduction ahead of the new interest rate announcement on Wednesday night.

The CME FedWatch Tool indicates that investors are increasing the likelihood of a Federal Reserve interest rate hike, primarily due to concerns about inflation stemming from continuously rising oil prices. This is amid the prolonged and escalating US-Iran conflict, following attacks by Yemen's Houthi militants on radar systems and weapons depots, which have increased pressure on Saudi Arabian oil exports, especially after the recent disruption of the East-West pipeline.

YLG's evening gold investment advice revealed that...

  • Selling pressure has eased today, creating a potential short-term rebound. However, if the rebound fails to break through $4,403, caution is advised as this could be a temporary bounce before a further decline.
  • If you have a high risk tolerance, you can consider a short-term buy if the price doesn't fall below $4,254 (set a stop-loss if it drops below $4,254), and then sell for profit at $4,318–4,355.
  • However, if you have a low risk tolerance, it's recommended to wait for the price to bounce back before opening a sell position if the price fails to break through $4,403.
  • Then buy back to take profit when the price retraces but does not fall below $4,288–4,254 (cut losses on the sell position if it breaks above $4,403).
